KAL Sept Mid Month-Day 6

Here is Day 6 and previous days.  This design is from Emily Jagos and appeared in our knitting calendar for 2010.  You can see Emily's other designs at www.designs-by-emily.com.  The name of this item is Diamond Panel Dishcloth.

If working a crochet edge:
Bind off purl wise but do not break yarn; leave the last loop on the needle. Transfer the last loop to the crochet needle to begin crocheted border.
Round 1: Chain one, single crochet (sc) 3 times in corner stitch, *36 sc across to other corner, 3 sc in corner stitch.* Repeat from * 2 times. 36 sc across to last corner, join to first stitch with slip stitch.
Round 2: *Chain 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc. * Repeat from * around, chain 3, join to first stitch with slip stitch. Fasten off. If you wish you can crochet a chain of desired length to create a hanging loop before fastening off.

Previous Rows:
The suggested color is #10 Yellow (Peaches & Creme) but a blue,pink or green will be pretty too.
Materials:100% Cotton Yarn, Worsted Weight, 2.5 oz – Peaches & Crème #10 yellow suggested or any pastel solid color.
Size US 6 (4 mm) knitting needles Size G-6 (4 mm) crochet hook
Cast on 38 sts
All even rows are purled across.
This is finished with a crochet edging, if you are not interested in crocheting a edge add your border stitches to the cast on number, example: if you want 3 sts on each side in knit or moss, add 6 sts to the cast on number bringing it to 44 not 38. Mark those stitches with a stitch marker to remind you they are not part of the pattern.
SSK: Slip, slip K2tog
