November Mid Month KAL-Day 1

You will need #7 US needle and one skein of cotton yarn in either a solid color or a pastel variegated color, #137 Sunrise (Peaches & Crème) yarn is a suggested color but any of the above mentioned colors will work too. We will be dealing with "short rows". For those new to knitting, all that means is we may be working some of the stitches of a row but then turning our work and going in the opposite direction. You can probably find out more about this technique from www.knittinghelp.com.

DAY 1:
This cloth is made up of 6 or 7 wedges, all exactly the same. Don't cast off after every wedge, you should have the same number of stitches on your needles as you cast on at the beginning ie. 20
stitches.

Cast on 20 stitches.

Row 1 and all odd rows: K across to last 2 stitches, P2.
Row 2: K3, YO, K to last st, turn.
Row 4: K3, YO, K to last 2 sts, turn.
Row 6: K3, YO, K to last 3 sts, turn.
Row 8: K3, YO, K to last 4 sts, turn.
Row 10: K3, YO, K to last 5 sts, turn.
REMEMBER.....All odd number rows you Knit across to within last 2 stitches and P2 (all stitches are worked on this row).

We will also add the instructions to our Overflow Blog.
