June 1st Day 1 and 2


Materials: 1 Skein cotton yarn, Size #6 or #7 US knitting needles
My finished cloth measured 7” x 7 1/4”.
Abbreviations: K=Knit, P=Purl, RS=Right Side of cloth, WS=Wrong Side of cloth, Garter Stitch=Knit all rows, Stockingette Stitch=Knit one row, purl the next.
This cloth has 4 stitches Garter Stitch at the beginning and ending of each row for side border stitches.

Directions: Cast on 35 stitches

Row 1:  Knit across

Row 2:  Knit across

Row 3:  Knit across

Row 4:  Knit across

Row 5:  Knit across

Row 6:  Knit across
Row 7:  Knit across

Row 8:  K4, P27, K4

Row 9:  Knit across

Row 10:  K4, P27, K4

 

Day 2:

Row 11:  Knit across
Row 12:  K4, P27, K4
Row 13: (RS) K4 then K5, P11, K11, then K4.
Row 14: (WS) K4 then P27, then K4.
Row 15: K4 then, K5, P11, K11, then K4.
Row 16: (WS) K4 then P27, then K4.
Row 17: K4 then K5, P11, K11, then K4.
Row 18: (WS) K4 then P27, then K4.
Row 19: K4 then K5, P12, K10, then K4.
Row 20: (WS) K4 then P27, then K4.
